TÉLIO TALKS: Volunteer Day at Ronald McDonald House BC
On Tuesday July 9th, we were given the opportunity to spend the day volunteering at an organization of our choosing. I was lucky enough to spend the day in the beautiful and inviting Ronald McDonald House.
It was great! I spent the morning cleaning out the playhouse in the backyard. It was full of sand and needed a little love.
Then in the afternoon I got to do one of my favorite things, bake! I made lots of oatmeal cookies for the kids and parents to enjoy. I even got a shout-out on the RMHBC facebook page! I guess they liked the cookies!
It was a scorching hot day in Vancouver, but it was worth it! I loved spending the day at the house. It is such an amazing and relaxing environment for families to stay at during such a stressful time in their lives.
I hope I will be able to help out again soon!
Interested in supporting the RMHBC? They are building a new, larger house and they need your support! There are lots of ways to do give back here. Every little bit counts!
