DIY : Turban Hat

The chilly Canadian winter has begun and I’m always trying to find new ways to keep warm and still look put together and stylish. I’m not a knitter (yet!) but that doesn’t mean I can’t make my own hat! I was first introduced to the turban hat trend a few years ago, and I loved it. This year I decided to revisit it in the lovely maroon color we have been seeing everywhere this fall. I think you’ll love the results!

I was really inspired by all of the lovely street style images i’ve found on the web. Over the past few years I have seen so many turban inspired looks, from headbands to cleverly tied headscarves to knitted hats. I love them all!

I used this tutorial to make my hat. I highly recommend it, it was easy to follow and offers three size options. There are many more tutorial options on the web, like this one, and this one for a headband style (turband! get it?).

TÉLIO’s Ponte de Roma (double knit) is perfect for a project like this! But pretty much any heavier weight stable knit could work great. We have lots of amazing options for heavier fall knits.
