”Florals? For spring? Ground breaking.” said Meryl Streep’s character Miranda Priestly (famously based on Vogue‘s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour) in the now classic film The Devil Wears Prada. With that one sentence, the non-fashion world learned what insiders have known since the beginning of time, wearing floral prints during spring is nothing new. It is perhaps not even a trend any more, it’s a tradition.

For those of us who spend four months with snow up to our ankles, we welcome floral prints with open arms, every year!

What’s fun about florals is that there are no rules any more, they can be worn with anything. A floral print under a motorcycle jacket? Yes! A floral print legging with a floral print oversized t-shirt? Why not! Florals on florals? Yes ma’am!

This season, let’s all put that little Meryl Streep voice inside our heads on MUTE and wear our florals PROUDLY!
