DIY: DETACHABLE COLLAR

My internship here at TÉLIO’s Head Office has come to an end and I am so glad I had the chance to be a part of TÉLIO’s team, even if it was only for a short period of time. Everyone was so welcoming and I am amazed at how much I was able to learn in only five weeks. This experience taught me many things, especially how to face new challenges. Getting the chance to do blog posts was definitely one of the many highlights.

My days as a TÉLIO Competition intern may be over but this beautiful trend is far from being out of the spotlight! My research on blogs made me totally fall in love with detachable collars because they are a creative addition and the perfect final touch to a unique style. I thought doing this beautiful DIY idea as my last post on TEXTURES would be the perfect way to end my interning on a high note.

I found TÉLIO’s Odessa Twill Print; Style 34213 color 01 and thought it would be just right for this DIY. You can get Simplicity’s pattern at Club Tissus with any Cotton/Spandex fabric and follow the steps to make your own collar.

One of the reasons why I loved detachable collars so much is because of their versatility; you can wear them with LOTS of different outfits! You just have to choose a fabric that you love and that goes with your style and personality and dress it up! This is how I chose to wear it:

Remember, you can always add cool details like beads, studs or even lace to your collar to complete its look!

Let us know how YOU would wear this awesome DIY!
