TÉLIO TALK: Sourcing Fabrics in Paris!

Last week was a BIG week for textiles in Paris. Two of the world’s biggest fabric shows showcased their new collection for the upcoming season (Fall Winter 14/15); Texworld and Première Vision. Being a merchandiser at TÉLIO, I am given the opportunity to travel to Paris every season to visit both of these shows! It is where we find new inspirations and source new items for the season to come.

It is always a pleasure to spend a week in the “City of Lights”, taking in the culture while shopping for new fabrics. This year I was lucky enough to find time to visit the Lichtenstein exhibition at the Pompidou and do a bit of shopping there.

I was very amused when I found a picture of myself on the Première Vision website, looking around the trend forums. Première Vision really excels at showcasing fabrics with new and innovative displays every season and I enjoy the experience every time.

Here is a sneak peak at a few treasures we found at Texworld.  My favorite find is the cut out leather fabric (top left). It is more than perfect for next season’s embellished and hand crafted trend. I am so excited to start this new collection; nothing inspires me more than fall fashion.

For all those who are looking for some Fall/Winter 14 inspiration, I invite you to view the Premiere Vision short movie here and stay tuned here for future posts on our Fall/Winter collection!
